cleaning day

So today was an extremely intense day. We spent it feverishly cleaning the AMA house because on Saturday we have a group of women coming to stay for a week. They are all medical professional and they will be meeting with Mayan woman and Mayan medical professional to exchange knowledge and exchange points of view. I think this is a really exciting program. Not only will this program provide a new perspective on health for both parties involved, but it will also give the Guatemalans involved reassurance that their ancient history and way of life has not been forgotten. I am really excited to see what comes from this interaction, especially because I think this is the trial run for this smaller branch of the organization. Who knows what tomorrow holds?!?!
